I rented out my car on TURO, and unfortunately, the guest returned the car with significant damage to the front bumper, one hour away from my location. Since the rental period ended at night, I had to retrieve the vehicle the following day. I promptly filed a claim with TURO, providing all the requested documents, including original photos and an estimate from the repair shop. This incident occurred on March 20, 2023, and to my frustration, the claim is still pending as of today, May 19, 2023. Just today, TURO informed me that they are unable to prove the incident, and if the guest denies responsibility, they will not cover the damages. From this particular incident to another instance where a guest damaged my steering wheel, I have incurred more financial losses on this platform than profits. TURO should prioritize taking care of their hosts, as without us, their business would not exist.
