I rented a car on Turo and unfortunately had an accident. The car was slightly scratched. The damaged can hardly be seen from a distance. I spoke to the driver and he gave me a quote to repair the car. After I did my own research I realised I could do it for cheaper. I informed the owner and after discussing he changed his mind and said he now wanted to process the issue through Turo. Most likely because he wanted to squeeze all he could out of the situation. Thereafter, turo sent me an invoice to pay £1,185!!! For a scratch you can hardly see. The car is valued at its best £1500 it’s a Fiat Punto 2013. I accept responsibility for the damage I made, but the amount is completely disproportionate. Terrible Terrible experience.
Don’t use this company, a slight scratch that may be a minor repair could cost you a fortune !
