The cars and hosts have been great. They are five star. Turo as a company is a 1 star.
Turo as a company is the issue. Their website's pricing is not what you will pay. The cars are listed at a certain price per day (also included is the total trip price, with a note that this price excludes taxes and fees).
However, when you get to the payment, the price will have gone up. The company does not feel this is misleading or false advertising. Customer Service will "as I explained before," you until you just give up.
My frustration and aggravation is that they list a price on the page with details of the car. There are no disclaimers or notations that this price includes any discounts you may qualify for (ex., early bird booking, multiple days, etc.). However, the undiscounted price will show on your receipt - which, of course, also includes higher Trip Fees for the higher cost of the rental.
This is not the owner's issue. It is Turo's responsibility to advertise fair and correct pricing.
