I will never use Turo again. I selected the $500 deductible, never expecting to need it. I was rear-ended as I exited a freeway. The other driver was completely at fault as he hit me while I was yielding to oncoming traffic. This occured Feb 27th. Today is July 1st and Turo is still refusing to refund the $500 they charged my debit card, a card I HAD NOT USED WITH THEM. Their claim is that even though I provided the receipt from the other driver's insurance showing paid to the host (copy provided over a month ago and payment was made in March), they haven't verified it was paid. And I may be liable to pay any difference if MY insurance doesn't pay. NEVER AGAIN! I loved the host. He was amazing - more concerned about our safety and well being than the damage to his vehicle. It's TURO that's the problem.
