I've dealt with some dud outlets before but Halfords/Tyres On The Drive have managed to set a new low bar in customer service.
Briefly, I paid to have a new car battery fitted at home at an agreed time slot one afternoon which was confirmed by email by Halfords. We waited and waited but no one came.
We were expecting them to call to offer an explanation and apology but...nothing.
Even their laughable customer services were unable to coax them to call.
Also it took multiple calls to recover a (double charged!) refund.
To this day (approaching 12 days) I've heard nothing.
I'm baffled. If something goes wrong it takes nothing to pick up a phone and offer an explanation.
I was beginning to take it personally until I read these and some Trustpilot reviews and realised that I have not been the first to fall foul of Halford/TOTD 'service'
Be careful, fellow readers. You have been warned.
