Uber Eat did not honor its deal and hung up my calls
I had five fourty percent off promotion code in my account. Today I placed an order which included a Buy One Get one Free item and I also applied one of the 40% off code. Before the checkout, the app showed the totals with both offers applied. (It really wasn't a deal because the restaurant listed an item which had twice of the portion as the BOGOF item but with the same price.) After the meal was delivered, I read the invoice and found that the 40% OFF offer was removed without any notice. I called Uber and they explained that there is a condition in the offer which says it cannot be combined with any other offers. So I went back and double checked the fine text and it does mention this. But the problem is, why their APP allowed both offers to be applied during the check out, but only to remove it after I have paid? This is an action beyond dishonest and disgusting. Besides, when I tried to resolve the issue with their customer service, I was hung off by two different people and they refuse to take my call anymore despite that I remained as polite I can be. Uber's customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. Usually customer service are not allowed to hang off the call before the customer no matter how heated the conversation gets. Just as its employees, Uber Eat takes no accountability and think it can do whatever it wants to its customers. I will ask my family and friends to stay far away from this scam company in the rest of my life!
