Absolutely HORRIBLE service!!! STAY AWAY!!

It was my young sons birthday on Thursday last week and he wanted Boston pizza. I’ve never used Uber Eats before and I thought I’d give it a try.
I ordered online, and immediately after placing the order, he changed his mind about what he wanted. Frustrating? Yes, but it was his birthday so I wanted to get him what he wanted.
I went back into my order to try to cancel it and couldn’t find the cancel option. At the same time, I called Boston Pizza to ensure that they knew I was going to cancel the order. I called so quickly that Boston Pizza hadn’t even received the order yet. Once they did see the order in their system, they notified me that they could cancel it on their end (on my behalf) and they did. I received a cancellation email from Uber Eats.
I canceled the order within 1-2 minutes of placing it so they said it was no issue and actually had to wait a moment for the order to show up in their system.
I now have a charge of $63.48 from Uber Eats on my credit card for a meal that was never prepared by Boston Pizza, or delivered by Uber. I have contacted online support through “chat” several times and I just keep getting cut off and told that my issue has been resolved even though it hasn’t. I was told by one rep that he verified that I would be getting a refund, and told me someone from the specialist team would be in touch in 24-48 hours. This didn’t happen so I reached back out again and am being told that my order is ineligible because Boston Pizza had already started preparing the order. Again, I confirmed that night that they hadn’t started it, and I called them again yesterday to confirm that they hadn’t started the order.
I’m very confused about why I’m paying $64 for a service that I didn’t receive. I’m also confused about why I was lied to by a rep promising me that I was getting a refund, and I’m just in total shock that Uber is taking this money from me when they didn’t provide me with a service and I met the criteria outlined in the T&C’s to be eligible.
It’s alarming how atrocious their customer service is and how, even when lied to by a rep, they won’t stand by their word and do the right thing.
