UberEATS double charged me for a cancelled order. I ordered from UberEat on Jan 18, at 9:08am, I made some mistake in the order, so I thought I may as well cancelled the order and reorder. So, I cancelled and reordered the order at 9:09 am from the same restaurant, ordered arrived at 11:15 am with no issues.
At the end of the day, they charged me for my cancelled order, which was cancelled after a minute. Worse, I checked with bank, bank told me I was charged twice for the order.
I called UberEATS and they told me it is their policy to charge for cancelled order, once the restaurant has accepted it, even technically they shouldn’t have prepared anything after 1 min.
I will never buy from UberEat again!
