Ordered Uber eats as a special treat. It was not a cheap meal as it was $80 total. The driver just never turned up. No attempt was made to call me. We left the door ajar and have a very very loud doorbell and tiny apartment. We had the phone on us at all times. No missed calls, no contact attempts. I attempted to call the driver through the app but no answer...of course. So where is the food? Just blatant theft. Uber eats is currently not responding but has originally stated that the driver attempted to deliver the meal. What an absolute joke. Our family was left without dinner and this was meant to be a relaxing evening. Life has been stressful and this was meant to be an enjoyable evening. This is theft by the driver and should be able to be charged as so. I'll be calling ombudsman tomorrow.
