I ordered from a local restaurant and noticed at the last minute that it was going to my old address as I just moved. Within 30-60 seconds I canceled my order. No, the restaurant had not accepted or confirmed my order. At this point I changed my address and proceeded to make another order. All within 5 min. Everything went well until 4 days later. I checked my bank account and noticed I was charged for the order the next day. Well I was also charged for my cancelled order.
I understand all the pop ups and what not to contact the call center within 48hrs. But how is that possible when you’re charged 4 days later?? Also the restaurant didn’t confirm even though they said they did on the system.
I contacted the customer service and the lady agreed with me with every single point I had made. Said she knows it would is impossible for the restaurant to confirm that quickly. However, it’s outside the 48hr rule and she is sticking to the rule. Regardless of the bank statement showing 4 days later. She blamed the bank. She also refused me to talk to a manager.
This is not how customer service should be. I’m disgusted in a multi-million dollar company.
