I placed a late night order through Uber eats a few nights ago and suddenly realized I needed to cancel the order due to the restaurant closing minutes before I placed the order. Unfortunately, I have placed late night orders before and never received my food or compensation for canceled orders, no failure of my own. So when I canceled the order it was a couple minutes after I placed the order. Uber eats is saying they REFUSE to give me a refund for my $80 order due to, “the restaurant accepting the order and beginning preparations. It is out of our jurisdiction to give you a refund, we will not give you a refund for the cancellation fee.” However, my cancellation fee was still $54 and I paid about $80. Where did the rest of my money go?? I’m still being shorted at the end of the day. While I’ve tried to contact customer service, their representatives have been nothing but rude by cutting me off mid sentence or just closing or hanging up mid conversations. And now the are RECHARGING ME ANOTHER FEE ON MY ACCOUNT
