#ubereats has HORRIBLE Customer Service 💥💥💥 Long Post But I refuse to stay silent about this. 💥💥💥 So for the last few weeks I’ve been craving barbecue, brisket in particular. Well on Wednesday, July 17th I’m working from home & decided I’d order some barbecue. Typically I use DoorDash but there weren’t any good options in my area so I decided to go with Uber Eats, still wasn’t many options but I found a place I’d never heard of and decided to give them a shot. I ordered me a 3 meat plate (2 of the meats were to be brisket) plus an extra side of brisket for my daughter. Well after placing the order, the merchant CALLED ME (see pic attached) and advised they were already out of brisket, I said ok no problem , do you have ribs, they said yes, cool, send me ribs & sausage. Well the guy continued to ask about my side of brisket, I said just remove it from the order, he said he couldn’t & I have to remove it on the app. Well the app didn’t let me edit the order so I just cancelled the order instead thinking since the driver isn’t there yet (it’s only been 5 minutes) I’ll get my money back. That didn’t happen, Uber refuses to refund my money, saying the merchant already made my food. How if the order still shows a three meat plate & side of brisket and there’s no brisket. Assuming I’d get my money back & still wanting some barbecue, after cancelling the first order I ordered from another restaurant which I’m more familiar with. Again I order a three meat plate, brisket/brisket/ribs. Well this order goes without a hitch, awesome, well that is until the app shows me the driver has arrived. I can see he’s in my complex but still several hundred feet from me. I CAN’T MAKE THIS UP Y’ALL! The driver CALLS ME, says he can’t find me (mind you it’s still light out). I tell him my building number, he said “well I’m at building 9” I said ok the parking lot makes a full circle just keep coming around. He then says these buildings don’t have numbers (if that’s true, how do you know you’re at building 9). He then tells me I’m lying, I’m not where I said I was at because the location pin has him at building 9. I told him others have had no issue finding me, me & my daughter use Uber daily. The guy hangs up. The app tells me my order was delivered, I’m looking outside my door but there’s no food, so I call the number that called me & ask the driver “hey are you lost again, it says you delivered but I don’t have my food”. He says I left it outside & hangs up on me. I’m on the third floor, I go downstairs still no food but then I go to the other side of my building and my food is sitting on the stairs over there. I’m boiling at this point. I’ve communicated with Uber Eats multiple times about both of these issues & they refuse to issue anything more than a generic auto response apology, I’ve literally gotten the same exact response 3-4 times so I’m going to post this everywhere I can. I wasn’t even asking for a refund but rather a credit because at that point I knew I’d use the services again but after this poor experience I’m okay taking my hard earned money elsewhere.
