I ordered a McDonald’s delivery with Uber Eats, and I got charged $5.99 delivery fee while the restaurant is located 1.2km away from home.
Add that to a $3.22 service fee which you never know what it is related to, plus tips, and you get to a $20 price difference between before and after tax and fees. Basically the price of an extra meal.
I tried to get compensated through the support team, but they wouldn’t do anything to help me.
This is my first claim in many years using the app, and the outcome is very disappointing.
