I have used Uber Eats for more than 3 years. Last week I confused which place we were ordering from (I usually do the ordering for my work buddies) and put the wrong Indian place. After I corrected it, I didn’t realize the order was still active and accidentally clicked it. I realized immediately what I had done and cancelled it. I found out the next morning I had been charged for the whole order, because even though it was less than a minute before I cancelled my order, I was still charged more than $50 because the restaurant had already prepared the food. Had I realized that, I would have at least gotten the food and taken it home. But since there was zero compensation, I have cancelled my Uber Eats app, as well as my Uber app and will never again use this service.
