We were distressed to leave them, but absolutely had to. We were almost daily users for several years. Had an incident where I'd sent in an order needed to cancel it within 30 seconds due to an emergency. I called the restaurant first to ensure they wouldn't make the food. They said fine, just to cancel with Uber. I then wrote to the driver to tell him not to go, that we had cancelled. Cancelled via uber within 3 min of placing the order and was told they couldn't refund because the restaurant had accepted the order already. Normally, I would understand this, but it was literally under a minute from placing this order, and I told them I had spoken to the manager at the restaurant (and the uber driver). I requested they confirm this with the restaurant and refund the money. They not only refused, but disconnected from the chat twice, saying they had already informed me that they couldn't refund. I was charged the full 43$. I have cancelled my membership, deleted the app, and will never use them again. I'm appalled at how poor the customer service was. Sadly, I can't continue to use a service that stole money from my family, no matter how often I used to use them.
