The app kept changing my address from street to drive so when my order was placed it was the wrong address. I called my driver to fix the problem. The driver told me it would be no problem but he had another food order to drop off first. he requested I give him my code so that he could drop the other one off and come straight to me. When I tried to message and call the driver back I was no longer able to contact him and so I called customer service 20 times and was unable to reach anyone that was able to help me. After remaining optimistic that he would come, I ended waiting 2 hours for my food and at this point it was passed 3am and I could no longer place an order as everywhere was closed. I had to work the next morning so I went to bed angry and hungry and was I was finally able to contact uber eats they told me since I did not reach out within 48 hours (which I tried to do multiple times, and they must have records of) I was not eligible for a refund :) I take responsibilty for not double checking the address before placing the order and thought maybe it was just a fluke but based on others experiences I see that this happens all of the time. I feel scammed that the driver asked for my code before delivering me my food and would not be surprised if he kept the over $50 order for himself. Thanks a lot uber eats. I will never be using your services EVER again and I will be telling everyone in my life to do the same.
