I gave 2 stars because I have previously had good experiences with Uber Eats. However tonight was very different. My complaint is not with the driver, but with the customer service support, or lack there of. My experience tonight is as follows:
My food was ordered, delivered on time. The driver was nice as I was on my balcony, to make sure he could find our address. Social distancing SIP is in effect in my location, which is why the items were left at the door. I get the items inside, and realize that multiple items are missing. I immediately contact support who tells me that they cannot help me as my order was placed more than 7 days ago. I thought maybe I hit the wrong order or something, so I informed them that I had only just received the items, and provided them with my order details from tonight. Another response comes through saying they can’t help me as my order was placed more that 7 days ago. I start a new query at this point. I am informed that I would receive a 4.99 refund. My order was a $60 order and approximately half of my order was missing. One of my party, one of the items missing was all that she had ordered so she didn’t get to eat her food at all. There was no offer to deliver the items missing, only the 4.99 refund (the amount of one of the missing items). I requested a 50% refund as one of the items missing was a main item (not able to eat the meal in full without this item). I was told again that 4.99 was all that could be done. I asked for this issue to be escalated to management and have since stopped receiving correspondence. I will be disputing charges as I am literally being charged for food that I never received.
