Good luck if they lose your package. UPS lost an irreplaceable memorial item. Although they allege they do an investigation, the only information they will give is that they contacted me and the shipper. They refuse to confirm that they spoke with the driver, the employee that last scanned the package, or conducted searches. I've only been told that they take it seriously. I've spoken to multiple people and they keep saying "contact the sender" when the sender would not be responsible for searching for the package within UPS's warehouse. It is clear that unless someone trips over your package, they don't actually look for it. If you care about your items, I'd recommend going elsewhere for shipping services.
