This must be the worst company I have dealt with.
A clerk at UPS Canada grossly overvalued a package of old camping gear I wanted to use on a holiday in Europe, and then take back home, for which UPS UK want to sting me about $1,000 'brokerage' fees.
It's one thing when a company stuffs up, it's quite another when it's impossible to resolve the issue.
UPS Canada have told their UK counterpart that they stuffed up, but nothing moves at this end. Phoning them merely takes you to a powerless, and often incomprehensible, underling in a Manilla call centre. I have asked several times to be passed up to a manager who could push things along, but they instead push you sideways to another underling. The managers are safely out of reach. Every time I have been on hold for one, the call went dead.
This has so far taken nearly 3 weeks for a delivery that should have taken about 4 days, and given their total lack of response I have no idea when/if it will arrive. In the meantime my holiday is on hold while I beat my head against the wall of UPS sloth, incompetence and indifference.
So the below questions are irrelevant, like how long did the delivery take. Er, I still haven't received it actually.
