Very discriminatory to transgender people, and not understanding at all. Opened an account with Very few months ago 43572771, had a phone call (after I had made my order and had it confirmed) from a woman firing on all cylinders and snotty tone because they must have realised after giving me the account and confirmation that my details were now different from previous attempts to obtain a catalogue before in old name, obviously due to prefix and name change and applying in my new legal name she seemed to think I was up to something she didn’t say this but obviously could tell from her attitude towards me trying to obtain a littlewoods account also, anyways fast forward to today never missed a payment and paid out the last £160 owing on my account in full and added £520.98 so all in all paid £620.98 so I could order a new tv as mine is not working and get declined, called them up spoke to a very nice apologetic man who told me they understand and it all makes sense about my name change now but ran a credit check on my new name (which I applied for the account in initially and was given so obviously already passed credit check in new name) and now saying I don’t pass the credit check and they would be closing my account and refunding the £520.98 I’d paid extra to the account, I find this absolutely absurd and discriminatory, making excuses to close my account because Im transgender I have been nothing but upfront about everything and have good credit in my new name my account was in my new name so I can’t see anything I’ve done wrong just excuses to close my account and so I would advise any transgender person not to deal with them as this is clearly discrimination, appalling.
