Andrew
Ordered an iPad in their 'computing event'. iPad arrived but had crushed outer packaging due to it being sent in little more than a plastic bag. With the cellophane and security tag still in situ I phoned to arrange return. I was offered a 10% discount if I kept the iPad but this meant the purchase price would be less than the £450 minimum spend criteria to get the £100 'computing event' incentive credit. Very said I would still get the £100 credit but when I asked them to confirm this in an email they then said no I wouldnt get the £100 and because I had agreed to a discount on a damaged item I had waived my rights. Utter nonsense but they didnt care. I nevertheless photographed the iPad showing the cellophane and security was still in situ then posted it back to them followed up by several emails showing the wrapping etc hadnt been removed and under Consumer Rights Act either give me a full refund or I would refer this to small claims. Reluctantly they refunded in full but no apology. Despite my balance being zero they then did everything possible to avoid closing my account as I had repeatedly asked. When you call Ive no idea where their call centre is but advisors limited English makes it frustrating and difficult. I went elsewhere and wont ever go back.
