I purchased a fridge freezer on 25th August 2020 worth £549.99 - paid in full. The item did not arrive on the delivery day and after contacting Very, they have told me that it is out of stock and not available until November.
I received no update from Very or the supplier to tell me that the item I purchased was out of stock. I was given this information after phoning to find out why the item had not been delivered, more than 1 week later.
Very told me that they take no responsibility for the error in stock or lack of communication. Once the order is made, it is then the responsibility of the supplier and this is stated in their terms & conditions... I wonder how long they would have sat with my money had I not contacted them.
I cancelled my order on the 4th September 2020 for a full refund so I could purchase elsewhere and advised that I need to wait for 'confirmation of cancellation' from the supplier.
I expressed concern that the supplier may not confirm this, as there was no communication re delivery or to advise that the item was out of stock in the first place.
I persisted on the phone until it was suggested that a refund was fast tracked for me, to then be advised that an error had appeared on my account, preventing them from applying a credit/refund and it may take 2-7 weeks to resolve and get my money back!!!
I am currently still waiting for confirmation of cancellation from the supplier (9th September 2020) and my refund from Very - completely disgusted in the lack of customer care.
I have been sold stock from the website that was not available, zero communication from Very or the mysterious supplier, advised that I have to wait for the supplier to confirm that the order has been cancelled (when they couldn't even confirm it had been processed in the first place) and refused my refund for 2-7 weeks based on a technical fault with Very's computer system.
How poor.
