But in practice, it’s a classic case of offering a benefit that looks good on paper but is just inconvenient enough that hardly anyone bothers to use it. You have to manually register each flight, for each person, at least two hours before departure. That means logging in, entering all your details, and doing the same for your travel companion — even if you’re on the same booking. It’s fiddly, easy to forget, and by the time you’re done, chances are your flight won’t even be delayed.
