“No claim experience yet thankfully but a note on the travel perk- The “free lounge access” sounds like great when you’re signing up. But in practice, it’s a classic case of offering a benefit that looks good on paper but is just inconvenient enough that hardly anyone bothers to use it.
You have to manually register each flight, for each person, at least two hours before departure. That means logging in, entering all your details, and doing the same for your travel companion — even if you’re on the same booking. It’s fiddly, easy to forget, and by the time you’re done, chances are your flight won’t even be delayed.”
“Superb service. Everyone we spoke with was friendly and efficient. Had an accident two days before travel date. Claim settled within a few weeks. Will definitely renew . Highly recommend VHI Travel Insurance.”
“My son is in Dallas for four days waiting on surgery, vhi multi trip insurance accept he is covered but after four days they have not provided valid authorization to the local hospital, they suggest he go to a hospital and get them to send on the bill!!
You wonder do these people live in the real world
My son has given up calling Vhi emergency number!!!!
It’s a farce !”
“Just went to cancel my annual travel insurance (which I have been taking out with VHI for a number of years) and was looking for a refund as I renewed it in February this year and due to Covid 19 obviously will not be going anywhere anytime soon. But was told there is no refund if I cancel as it has been active for more than 43 days. So annoyed over this. I will not be renewing again. Poor customer relations.”
“Because of language problems, inefficiency etc in a foreign hospital and my failure to read the 47 pages of terms and conditions they are now telling me that they will not pay for my holiday curtailment expenses and they are dragging their heels on the appeal.”
