My mother (90 years of age) has had a prepaid phone with no internet connections with vodacom for plus minus 20 years. In Feb we loaded R300.00 on her airtime. Begining of March she had to go to hospital and her phone was switched off. Mid April I put her phone on her bal was R5.00 odd I loaded another R200.00 on her phone and check her balance, she had R34.00. I went to a vodacom shop and they informed me she had 2 subscriptions on her phone which we immediately cancelled.
A lady from Vodacom contacted me to say they would refund her airtime on her phone with R175.00 which I disputed as it had cost R500.00 in the past 2 months. Needless to say she has not yet been refunded.
Vodacom have 3rd party partners which Vodacom charge the customer for and no one realises that they are being charged for subscriptions especially on prepaid. This is daylight thieving
