My elderly mother has been shopping with them for many years. Always pays her bill.
She paid her bill in full, last month (via phone)
They sent her a bill for $2 & change. She was not happy. She called, they told her that interest had Accrued after the phone payment. Weird?
She refused to pay it. They sent her a notice of collections. Threatening to send this to all of the credit bureaus.
That is just so petty! It cost them more in time and effort/postage to send this notice.
I hope they realize that she has nothing better to do than tell all of her friends.
They all shop there too. I can’t imagine they’d trust this business.
I told her to just pay the final amount, cancel her account and tell her story to all of the ladies in her retirement community.
