I had two big cracks in my last 3/8" Jotul woodstove glass. But the glass was intact, so I ordered a new one from Woodstove Fireplace Glass and placed it next to (inside) the cracked glass window. Now I have a strong 3/4" thick double pane window. I cleaned up the old one before installing the new one right next to it, and the window is crystal clear. I really like having the extra thick glass. I think it would be nice to be able to order at least a 1/2" thick pane... jus' sayin'.
