I have purchsed items on Aliexpress for a few years. With clothing the measurements described are highly inaccurate and inconsistent. In the past however you could get a refund for such items going through a dispute process and if there were other problems you could talk to customer service. It was a highly frustrating interaction but effective if you had fortitude. Now it's automated. If you have a problem that is the least bit out of the ordinary you are "screwed". Some sellers simply ignore questions. If the seller simply doesn't send the item after you have paid, there is nothing you can do. You can't file a dispute, that option is available only once the item is received. So it behooves the seller to simply ignore your questions about if the item has been sent, if they will approve you cancellation or anything else. They just take the money and disappear.
