DELIVERY TO HOME TERRIBLE, FORGET IT!

Another collection was arranged for today and I was to get a 2 hour collection windows that morning, I never got one so again contacted Argos chat (so I have evidence of the continued problems)
THE PROMISED COLLECTION TODAY made by JOAN @ 16:46 on 12th December NEVER HAPPENED (AGAIN)
This morning (21/12/24) RITTIK eventually told me when I contacted them AGAIN that my collection would be between 10am and 12pm.
IT WASNT COLLECTED YET AGAIN so I again contacted them after 12pm and this time RONIT eventually told me to wait until 6pm for it to be collected, but if it wasn’t I should contact them Monday and start yet again!!!!!!!!!!
I waited in all day on this, the last Saturday before Christmas and THEY DIDNT COLLECT AND NO ONE CONTACTED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Original problem

On 3/12/24 I ordered a Bush DHG60GNSS Gas Hob - Stainless Steel 918/8356 and it was delivered to my home on Monday 9/12/24 ARGOS DONT GET DELIVERY SIGNATURES!
Opened and the hob was packed dented by Bush as the thick polystyrene protecting the damaged area was itself undamaged.
Contacted Argos online chat and was dealt with by AYUSHMAN who kindly agreed to pick up the damaged hob and deliver the replacement on Fri 13th.
NO CONFIRMATION of this arrived so on Fri 13th at 8am I phoned and spoke to another assistant who told me it was down for a collection/delivery between 12:00>14:00 NB THEY DIDNT TURN UP so I phoned again at 14:39 and spoke to PAULINE who told me it was down for delivery between 14:00>16:00
NB THEY DIDNT TURN UP AGAIN, so I phoned up again at 16:46 and spoke to JOAN who, after listening to the long saga, informed me that the couldn’t deliver a new one as THEY HAVE NONE!
I informed JOAN that I would take a refund instead as I had been lied to twice and wasted a whole day, and they don’t have one and that I would return the damaged one to my local store, unfortunately despite the package being smaller & lighter than other items I have collected from Argos in the past JOAN tells me THEY DONT ALLOW RETURNING TO THE STORE, so they will have to collect it from me on Sat 20th between 7am and 6pm and that, UNLIKE TODAY, they will contact me to tell me my 2 hour time slot?
Collection from stores is great and works very well, DELIVERY TO THE HOME AS THE ONLY OPTION I WOULD FORGET ABOUT THAT!
Note: JOAN kept her promise to phone me after our call and I thanked her for that.
