I ordered a dryer and I have received it and all was well. But a month later I noticed from my bank statement that I have been charged twice on same day for the same amount. I got in contact with Argos customer support and was advised that I have placed two orders and received two of the same item. I was referred to PayPal as the payment processor. I raised the dispute on PayPal website and Argos wants me to obtain a police crime reference for the fact that I have received one delivery on same day rather than two; I think it's a joke to deal with a simple order. Argos use their own drivers and like all courier; must keep proof of delivery (POD) which is a standard process.
I would advise anyone using Argos online ordering to double check their statement after the order and do not expect anything from customer service if anything goes wrong. I won’t be using Argos again obviously.
