Bought some wireless headphones in store. They stopped working in less than 2 weeks. The specific product had no online support on their website.
So I spoke to their customer service, providing lots of information around the circumstances of the purchase but making it clear I didn't have a receipt. They wouldn't help me unless they could categorically prove I'd purchased the item from them. Which, if they'd shown any interest in what the product was, they'd have been able to verify easily.
So, for all the time I spend defending brick and mortar retailers (even ones like this who are attempting to monopolise what's left of the post Amazon market) they still end up leaving a bitter taste. When a product is faulty, you go out of your way to help. Never again - my Argos card now torn up in favour of AO.com or similar.
