Argos are currently breaking Scottish legislation. The government state no change in consumers rights through coronavirus situation. Argos have decided to take it upon themselves to change law. They are currently open and accepting the public's money but refusing refund or return on faulty goods. Mary - based at straiton (Edinburgh) store has no idea of such legislation and continued to dismiss my partner and I in a extremely unhelpful manner and found this to be amusing. This will be reported to trading standards/consumer rights in Scotland. And an official complaint put in against Mary specifically and Argos as a company. My family spent £140 on a tablet for kids school work and unable to complet home learning due to this. Now stuck with faulty item and no money to replace.
