My wife and I went to ASDA this morning after my wife got off from work and taking our kid to school. We did our groceries and was at the self check-out counter when we realized we forgot to bring bags with us to put all that we bought. I figured to use their shopping basket to put all the items, go to our car once finished, unload all that we bought in a bag we have in the car and return the basket. That simple! But the lady manning the check-out counter did not allow us to use the basket to take out of the store. It is their new policy. My wife said it was fine and that we'll just buy their plastic bags. To our surprise they did not have any, and they won't allow us to use their basket. The person manning that area, who wasn't very nice and not being apologetic, did not even bother to go and find bags for us, customers, to use. We had to hug all that we bought out of the shop, some dropping as we reached our car. ASDA, whatever happened to your slogan 'Happy to help'? Are your shopping baskets made of gold that you're afraid customers will take them home?
I have experienced rude staffs in the past and I have had enough. I think that is it for us shopping at ASDA
