Asda in Dover have removed a manned checkout and installed a self service one. Why oh why do people use them!! More people out of work. It saves company a fortune long term but they don't pass on savings to customers by offering a discount for their use. The worse example I have ever seen of this nasty practice is in Asda in Folkestone. Utterly disgraceful along with their very high prices. Seems to me that this company can now be compared to Aldi, which is of course the worse of them all for quality and ludicrous checkouts.
