Almost all the manned checkouts have been replaced by self-service that require you to scan some stupid code with your smart phone - no explanation - just notices telling you to do it. Almost everyone trying to check out was struggling and needed help. If you don't have a smart phone or, like me, you have no idea how to scan the stupid code you'll have to join a mile long queue for a checkout operated by a person. I often use the self-service checkouts at Morrisons without the need to scan a stupid code. Asda - you don't get to tell me what I must or must not do with my phone - it's not yours it's mine - so you can just do one and I'll do my shopping elsewhere.
