Bought some clothes from asda unfortunately I couldn't find the receipt looked on the website about what the returns refunds policy say it says provided you show proof of purchase like a bank statement is fine i even spoke to a member of staff on the phone to double check . I went to the store in southgate with the clothes and bank statement and I explained what happened and they said they coul refund me for the 4 pairs of jeggins I bought but 2 of them were on sale at 4 pounds each I paid 12.pounds 50 for each of them. Wasn't happy about that but they said they could trace my original receipt because i paid by debit card so I gave them my details name phone nnumber said they will contact me when they find it.Time went by more than a week heard nothing went back to the store and told me there is nothing they could do because of this new policy coming into force from the 1st of May. I went there in april no one bothered to contact me . The website still says bank statement is ok and went I rang head office to complain yesterday they said bank statement was OK. I'm very upset and disgusted about the customer service I received at asda southgate and I will be taking matters to the ombudsman make sure you update your website systems and you employ efficient staff. They should had call me now I'm stuck with the clothes no refund because of you r staff incompetence. Also your website is a nightmare trying to find someone to talk to when I did they didn't listen and put the phone down .disgraceful never going to asda again or buying your clothes
