So I went to Asda yesterday to do some shopping and I couldn't find any bags to put my fruit and vegetables in.
After asking a member of staff to get the bags I was approached by the manager who told me that they will no longer provide their customers with bags. Instead, I colud purchase one of their tiny, useless "reusable" bags for only 30 pence each. When I told her that I'm not willing to mix dirty potatoes with apples and lemons and I'm not willing to put a mesh bag with dirty vegetables inside my shopping bag she gave me quite a lot of attitude.
I left the store and drove to Tesco - did my shopping there. I didn't have to wash the dirt of my food, I didn't have to clean my shopping bag, because they provided me with bags I could put my vegetables in and seperate them from other items in my bag.
Well done Asda - you've lost a customer with that moronic attempt to pretend that you care about the environment, where all you are trying to do is save a fraction of a penny and put a hidden tax in form of useless bags on your (now former) customers.
