Our 10' tree starting leaning from year one. The lean was so significant I was afraid to put the tree up this year. In December 2019 I sent Balsam Hill pictures of the leaning tree undecorated and they agreed to send a warranty replacement. In October I got an email to confirm my shipping address that I responded to the next day. Balsam Hill told me that email fell through the cracks. By Thanksgiving 2020 I had heard nothing from Balsam Hill and so called to find out where my warranty-replacement tree was. That is when I was told it had never shipped, but should arrive by mid-December. This is an enormous tree and takes a few days to fully light and decorate so I was worried about having a tree for Christmas 2020. The tree arrived in early December with a very wobbly stand. Balsam Hill sent out a new stand. That replacement stand was very rusty. I put the tree together in both stands and it leans. In the rusty stand the lean is so bad it really is unsafe. Additionally, in the interim, Balsam Hill switched from metal discs at the branch hinges to plastic. As I was putting up the tree, three limbs fell off and the replacement parts sent to "fix" this problem broke when I tried to use them. Balsam Hill is now of the position that they sent me a "free" tree and they're done. Two defective trees. Three defective tree stands. Balsam Hill says they've honored the warranty and I have no tree that I can put up for Christmas after spending $900.
