I booked a flight through eDreams and was unknowingly signed up for their “Prime” subscription. I wasn’t clearly informed that this would cost me money — there was no obvious consent or clear warning during the booking process.
A year later, I was charged £99 out of nowhere, which caused my bank account to go into negative balance. When I called my bank, I found out they had also taken £89 the previous year — again, without my knowledge.
I contacted eDreams customer service immediately, and their response was terrible. They refused to refund the money, cancel the subscription, or take any responsibility. The manager I spoke to didn’t seem to care at all about my situation or the stress this caused me.
I feel this company hides the Prime subscription on purpose to trick people into paying for something they didn’t agree to. It’s extremely dishonest and unethical.
I would never recommend eDreams to anyone. Be very careful when booking — double-check everything, or better yet, use a more transparent travel site.
