“Complete fraudsters, used my card I used to book my flights to take money off without my consent and will not return my calls or messages. Had to cancel my card which is inconvenient and cost me money”
“eDreams charged me €89.99 for a Prime membership without my consent. They claim I was on a free trial, but I was never properly informed. When I requested a refund, they refused, despite canceling my subscription.
They also falsely claimed I saved €32, when in reality, my flight was only €6 cheaper without Prime. Their explanations contradict themselves, and customer support is unhelpful.
I have disputed the charge with my bank and will escalate to consumer protection authorities. Avoid this company at all costs!”
“Upon arriving at O.R. Tambo International Airport in South Africa for my connecting flight, I was informed by the airline staff that my name was not on the passenger list. As a result, I was unable to board my flight and missed my connection.
Shortly after the flight departed, I received an email from eDreams asking why I missed the flight. I promptly responded to the email explaining the situation. Since then, I have made multiple attempts to follow up regarding this matter, but I have not received a resolution.
I believe this issue occurred due to an error in the booking process on your platform, which caused significant inconvenience and financial loss. I request a full refund of my ticket cost and any associated fees.”
“Here's my E dreams experience:
Like many, I got roped into the cheap deals and booked with them (flights only).
After that... I hit the online review forums and 'man oh man' was I sweating bricks after a few hours of straight panic from all the negative reviews.
I finally received my booking confirmation and when you book with them online, you have the options of using their PRIME service or not. I chose not but the cheeky buggers get you subscribed via the emails you receive with your confirmation. All in all, you can't avoid the subscription and they offer a 2 week free trail before they begin charging. Luckily I was flying out within that time.
I suggest you keep an eye out for the subscription deadline and just cancel a good few days prior.
So now that I'm booked and confirmed, I checked the bookings on the main airline websites and as the reviews stated... Errors.
This is probably why its important to just book directly with airlines but since I caught it early, I managed to use the PRIME to sort out any details of my trip. I had two different airlines so I had to get the flight number for the second one which was not correct in the original edreams booking.
Alot of reviewers have been stranded at airports because of this and even missed their flights due to itinerary errors so PLEASE do diligence and make sure your bookings on the actual airline websites match the edreams one. PRIME also informs you on when you can check in online which was very convenient.
If you have any detail changes, such as passport and personal info edits, this is when you make them. If you can, use the free PRIME trial well to make sure your flight plan and details are perfect. Please don't wait till its too late.
If anything outside your booking happens such as flight delays or cancellations... Sorry to say but you are screwed.
The advantage of PRIME is you don't have to wait on the phone long and your query is sorted quickly. It was a long research project to find their contacts as many callers claimed they couldn't get through to the customer services but if you are in the UK, this is the number I used: +442086118966
When it comes to cancelling the PRIME, be prepared for the sales pitch script which they MUST go through to confirm you know what you are "Giving up" before processing the cancellation. You need to get an email to confirm the cancellation aswell. Alot of reviews claim they had money taken from their accounts even after cancellation and I relayed this to the operator and he said that happens when they do not go through the right channels (call) to cancel.
Other than that, the process wasn't bad and my trip went smoothly. Thankfully.
Would I use them again... sure (though they claim to 'resubscribe' to PRIME is another bill in itself).
Is it better booking on direct airline webpages - ABSOLUTELY!
Best of luck.”
“eDreams charged me for a flight but never confirmed to use it. Customer service is unresponsive, and they don’t offer refunds. Hidden fees and poor service make them untrustworthy.”
“They payment went through from my bank account before I could confirm the figure and booking ,now they refuse to send me an invoice to show me why I had to pay double for my flight
The lady I spoke to said it's against company policy”
“After buying 2 round trip tickets to Europe, I was not able to confirm the next leg of the journey to Africa with another carrier because they don't have an office or phone number in the USA. Only web contact so I had to cancel withe eDreams. Instead of offering me a voucher to use in the future, they took 20% of our 2 ticket price and they enrolled us in their prime program from which, they wrote, we can't escape for the whole year but we could cancel the subsequent year. We are VERY disappointed with eDream and most likely will never use them again. In addition, will let everyone we know about it.”
“No compres con edreams boletos aéreo, una vez q lo haces te cobran membresia, aunque tu no estés deacuerdo, luego no puedes cancelar ni por correo electrónico, ni en su plataforma, ni por llamada ya q te hacen esperar más de 1hora para no cancelar la membresía. No compres con ellos”
“I want to give 0 star for this bad company. They said they will refund me but after 2 months, no refund happens, I called them and they said the refund is cancelled due to they will not refund through PayPal, why didn't they say it from beginning? If I don't remember and don't call, they will not exercise their responsibility of refund for customer. Also their Prime is painful, they charged a lot without a real benefit and once I want to cancel it, it is the fight, take really long process to cancel the Prime including the fight with customer service:)/”
“Beware of this unethical comapny. They will not let you get off the phone until you stay. They just have their taling points. No way to remove your card once they have it and they will keep charging you for the yearly plan. Do not do business here.”
“A ripoff.
They advertised a low fare and then wanted $160 baggage charge for a 2 hour flight.
I declined the ticket and they charged me anyways.
Rip off scam”
“SCAMMERS. Stay far away from them!! Me and my 2 other friends needed to pay (separate travel dates and destinations) more
Money at check in because something was not correct.
So be careful!!!”
“Don't trust eDreams!! There are many better providers around. My personal experience 2025:
1. Booking of Ryanair rturn flight for 2 including check-in, baggage, priority - check- in NOT done by eDreams impossible on line at Rynair because booked by third party without contract with them. Only possible at airport going 2 hrs ahead and paying 30+30 euros (plus other 60 euros return). Customer Care: Ahmed, arrogant, incompetent not willing (or incapable of solving problems). To be avoided like pests.
2. Carport booking with full coverage warranty. Company not declared. Difficult to find. Once located warranty is void because they do not recognize it. Additional 199 euro needed. To be avoided also. It would have been better to take a HETZ car.
3. The worst: Hotel Crisol FAYCAN at Las Palmas Gran Canaria. The worst hotel I've ever visited. Mohammed at reception: apparently gentle but false and not willing to recognize evidence in front of pictures depicting a deprecable and dirty room (n. 403). Refused reimbursement. Fortunately, the Quality department of the Company in Rome that owns Crisol forced them immediately to switch us at their expenses to the EXE Hotel which is perfectly in order and pleasurable. Though, we had to consult with a lawyer and consumed most of our time in legal issues.
Thus: attention! STAY AT LARGE from eDreams!”
“I am a travel agency agent, and I made a reservation for a client through eDreams. Today, I was shocked to discover that I was charged an additional €80 for what eDreams claims is an "annual subscription plan." However, at no point during the reservation process was I made aware of, or given the option to accept, any subscription. I never agreed to this charge, nor did I see any indication of it while booking.
I immediately contacted eDreams customer support by phone, only to be told that there was no possibility of a refund, despite this charge being completely unexpected and unauthorized. They stated there was no refund guarantee for this "subscription," and I feel completely scammed by the platform.
This experience has been extremely frustrating, and I am deeply disappointed by the lack of transparency and customer service. I urge others to be cautious when booking with eDreams, as hidden charges like this are not clearly disclosed, and customer support offers no help in resolving the issue.
I would not recommend eDreams to anyone and will be seeking other avenues to resolve this matter, including filing complaints with consumer protection authorities.”
