I am a GrubHub driver. I had a death in the family and I had to cancel a days worth of scheduling time because of the funeral
My ratings went down 20% because of the missed schedule and I had already told them why I could not work and they said there was no way for them to excuse it because the ratings are computer generated
My brother is a computer operator and repairman and he said there is always a back door to go in and change the computer program
i’ve talked with other Grubhub drivers and they said the same thing is happened to them when an emergency came up and all that Grubhub is concerned with his money they do not care about the drivers when something happens. Your ratings go down right away but then for your schedule ratings to come back up, you have to do at least 100 orders for each one percent of the rating increase
This was the same issue I had with DoorDash and that’s why I quit DoorDash because they were stealing tips and they kept bouncing the ratings up and down and it was very difficult for drivers to stay committed to the work and now Grubhub is doing the same thing.
They want to drivers to be loyal and committed with the company itself is not willing to do that for the drivers
