Ordered at 10pm. Location closes at 12am. Order picked up by a courier 30 minutes away. Then the courier decided to stop being the courier 20 minutes later. Then the app stated the next delivery time was 7:45am the next day. I contacted grubhub support and they told me they wouldn’t refund the order unless I contacted the location to cancel it myself. Then to tell the location to tell grubhub to cancel my order.
The order was still active when another courier picked the request up. The new arrival time was 12:45am. I waited and watched the courier driver the opposite way. About 30 minutes. Then finally seeing that the current courier did the same thing. Stopped being the courier.
I live in a good sized town. There shouldn’t have been a problem.
The next day, I used uber eats with absolutely no problems and had my order in 20 minutes.
I will not be using grubhub and urge others to not use them as well.
I eventually received an email that the order was refunded.
