Scam and Extortion – Avoid at All Costs This company is running a blatant scam in partnership with Hintrentacar. When we arrived, despite having full insurance through our credit card, they refused to accept our deposit. They claimed that none of our credit cards worked (which has never happened to me in my life with any rental company). They then cornered us with a false “choice”: either pay nearly $300 for their useless, inflated insurance or be stranded in the middle of nowhere, 15 minutes from the airport, in a foreign country, with no way to get back. This was not a choice. This was extortion. They pressure every customer the same way — just check their Google reviews, it’s a pattern of abuse. I trusted this platform to connect me with a legitimate company, but instead it funneled me directly into a well-known scam operation. By continuing to promote and defend these practices, they are complicit. I have rented cars all over the world and never once has a company refused my credit cards for deposit. It was clearly staged to force the “mandatory” insurance. Warning: stay away. This was the worst, most humiliating rental experience I’ve ever had. If you book here, be ready to be scammed.
