Review of Skechers Store in Kaunas Akropolis
I want to share my regrettable experience with a pair of shoes I purchased at the Skechers store in Kaunas Akropolis. After wearing them only about 10 times, an unpleasant, rubber-rubbing sound started to appear, which is audible not when I'm walking, but when I'm simply shuffling my feet in place.
I initially visited another Skechers store, where the manager immediately identified the sound as a defect. However, they couldn't accept the return, as their policy requires customers to return items only to the store where they were originally purchased.
Upon returning to the Kaunas Akropolis store, I was met with an utterly incompetent store manager. She refused to acknowledge the defect, claiming she "couldn't see anything." I tried to explain that the problem needed to be heard, not seen, and that the sound was not caused by friction with the ground. Her suggestion that the sound was a result of "excellent sole grip" was completely illogical, as it occurs even when I'm just shuffling my feet in place. Due to her inability to understand the issue, I was advised to contact the Consumer Rights Protection Authority.
Because of this incompetent employee, I am now forced to waste my time filing a complaint with the Consumer Rights Authority. I also contacted Skechers' customer service, which for 10 days claimed to be "resolving the issue," only to eventually direct me back to the physical store where the problem originated. This level of unprofessionalism and deplorable customer service is truly disappointing.
