Yesterday I had the worst experience with Mr Delivery, for a first time user I was subjected to unethical drivers who lie through their teeth and an operator that promised to phone me back but she didn't even bother. I placed an order at Chicken Licken Atlas Mall on their Mr delivery app my food was collected by the driver and between him delivering my food and collecting my food I don't know what happened. All I know is I got a missed call from an unknown person I returned the call and he claimed he was the driver delivering my food minutes later my order was cancelled when I called that same driver back he told me he was at the gate of our estate and no one came to get the food and I asked him why didn't you use the access code I supplied he then started telling he is on his way to East Rand mall he will call me when he is on his way back to give me my food but I guess he decided to cancel the order because he doesn't deliver in my area, my friend decide to phone the call centre to also inquire as the same thing happened to her and she got help from this nice guy called Mathew who duplicated our order my friend's order was delivered and mine was cancelled again same reason they don't deliver in our area even though my friend and I are in the same estate and same house. I eventually gave up around 16h00 after waiting for 4 hours to get my food and my sons food, I called the call centre again demanding my money in order for me to place an order somewhere else the lady I spoke to Sihle advise me that they can either give me a voucher or a refund and I opted for a refund she then informed me that the refund process takes 24 hours or 5 days. and she reassured me that she will make sure she does the refund process herself and I should receive an email which I haven't received it I then asked her if their drivers know before cancelling the order of the pre-payments involved when placing orders she said yes, so why would they just cancel someone other without making sure first that the customer received their order. the Mr delivery drivers are out of order they are abusing whatever power they have been given to just cancel someone order whenever they feel like. what they are not aware of is whenever customer orders food it could be a person who is sickly and can in fact be a matter of life and death for that customer if he or she doesn't receive their food in time. and worse part it could be a hungry child or a mother who needs to eat so that they can breastfeed their little one but they can’t cook because they is no power as we all know we are facing electricity problems in our country.
