I bought coat from them, item was listed the wrong size (French size given when the size was Italian, as a result it was too small and I couldn't close the coat, measurements also wrong) it went through their authentication, they should have picked up the size problem and the wrong measurements, they didn't and I couldn't return, only relist, which I did but I had to use the original description (horrible as I could not alert a buyer, so I mentioned it in the comments as I didn't want anybody else to get stung), with relisting they use the same text, exactly the same and the same measurements, same pictures, I tried to upload new pictures they were not approved, apparently duplicates (they weren’t), I could only request that they change the measurements later but it was still listed as a French size, so when somebody who needs a French 38 sees the Italian measurements of an Italian 38 it doesn't fit, an Italian 38 is like a French 34, a UK 6 or smaller), somebody bought it eventually (after I had reduced it to a fraction of what I paid for) and had it sent to a drop off point, then I got told it will be returned to me for non compliance, buyer alerted them. I wanted to know what was wrong as it was the coat I had bought from them earlier (and sold for much much less as a coat that doesn't fit is no good) I was told it is not compliant and a picture which I thought must be a mistake because it didn't show the coat I sold, not even the same colour, which I told them. Reply the picture the buyer provided shows it is non compliant. I tell them again the picture that they showed is not the item I sent out, same reply "Buyer returned because item is not compliant" - robotic to the extreme.
You can imagine how pleased I was to get a ripped old anorak back, my coat was dark grey and Bottega Veneta, what I got back is a no name washed out khaki and in a state that it is only fit for the bin - but the return is now closed... I can't even get the buyer as the drop off shop was a Tesco Express.
I won't use them again, I heard similar stories when people bought bags that turned out fake, they just told them to re-list.
I bought the coat for £680 including sending and authentication, pre Brexit so luckily no other charges, sold it for £120 (after a year I just wanted to get rid of it) which stung but that way I thought I didn't make a total loss, only I did! They spam you with mails to lower your price, lower your price, they take their commission but as a buyer and a seller, you can’t expect any help!
I will NEVER use the website again, on Trustpilot they replied with a standard text, to get in touch with them as they are there to help - when I did, I was told the issue is closed and then Trustpilot removed my review despite me showing them evidence that I contacted Vestiaire and the replies from them, screen shots of my profile with item number and all, but then Vestiaire pays Trustpilot, so trusting Trustpilot is about as good as trusting Vestiaire, both are not trustworthy!
Oh best thing was when I said "If you keep continuing to act like this, the company will suffer" the reply was "We are doing more business than before" - yes, on the backs of people who trust you and who get screwed over.
Bye Vestiaire, I trust in "What goes around comes around" you got a lot coming!
