How difficult should a return be? I purchased a TV for the NFL playoffs on January 24th. I had thought it would come that day, no, so I found another TV for the game. I tried to cancel in the afternoon but it was shipped around 9p that night. This is where it begins. I did receive a return label for a store return (box never opened). I had a hired assistant so she and I attempted to return to the store. After driving to the store and waiting- we were advised by the manager that the walmart computers were down and they could do nothing to help (his attitude was a whole other story). I called from the car and shared my experience. I was assured no problem, the USPS carrier would come and get it. I called a second time that day and let them know that I could not print off the label they had as it was oddly encripted. Was told, not to worry, I did not need a label. Waited around the entire morning that Wednesday. Carrier came and said she could not accept without a label- so off she went. Called customer service. They said they would send email a label for the USPS- fine. So Monday, Feb 15th went to the Stuart post office with attached label. My helper and I went and waited in line with the TV. The person at the desk measured the box with her supervisor and said they do not accept packages that size and it should be common knowledge to stores facilitating returns for the customers. I then called Walmart again and shared my information. Customer service via phone told me that them they would send labels. In the meantime the customer service reps via email tried to send me addition 2 USPS labels. They told me to be patient they would manually generate labels. Well- the labels did arrive via the USPS on February 28th- all labels via email and post office were for USPS (a total of 4 labels) It is now March 2nd with me still having the TV. I did reach out via email to voice my frustration about the return procedures. One customer service rep assured me that she talked to the USPS and since the TV is only 18 pounds- no worries. Really??? a 43 inch TV being 18 pounds? I guess the box must be really heavy, regardless- I have stated numerous times USPS will not accept. Most recent conversation on March 2nd with live conversation is that Pilot carrier will pick up next Monday... We shall see. Notes incomplete so am having to retell my issues numerous times. I have been talking to representatives across the country. I have dealt with in store personnel, phone customer service representatives and email. I have spent easily over 8 hours by now just to make what should be a simple return. Case in point.. Read the reviews below.
