I go to the neighborhood market out of convenience due to the close proximity to my home and it being on my commute home from work. I shop there several times a week after work which is between 5:30 and 6:30 pm. I can’t understand why during this time they would choose to put out freight! Wouldn’t the early morning be a better time to stock shelves when most people are at work, commuting to work, or at home sleeping? On my visit today I needed an item that was directly behind a stocker so I said excuse me picked up my items and noticed said stocker stomp to the side of me place his hands on his hips and glare at me. Not sure if it was my race that made him mad or the fact that I needed to purchase something that was beside an item he was restocking regardless I would have at least acknowledged a customer with some sort of comment! I have worked retail for many years and realize that without customers to purchase items I would be unemployed however I don’t think these stockers realize this concept. The majority of the times I have had any interactions with stockers at Walmart they are rude. There were several tonight walking towards me with a cart that almost hit me and of course no apology was made! The management of the neighborhood market on Elizabethtown Rd in Lumberton NC is no better. They witness this behavior and do nothing to correct it! I think I’m going to have shop elsewhere! Maybe Foodlion or IGA would be more appreciative of the 500.00 to 600.00 I spend a month in groceries!
