Got notification from the company from whom I had ordered goods that they had been delivered. The DPD track and trace confirmed this but no goods had arrived at my address. I had been home all day but not call/knock etc from the driver as is usual with all other delivery companies . The goods have been delivered but not to where I am!
I spoke with DPD Ireland as the local office phone is never answered (- tried calling it 10 times and it rang out every time.) The person here agreed that the goods had been delivered but could not guarantee that it was to the correct address. They also could not contact the local depot even after 3 attempts by them.
When asked about next steps, they couldn't give me procedures by which I could follow apart from platitudes about being sorry. The advice was that I could not raise a ticket about the goods being missing and that I would have to contact the company from whom I ordered and that they would have to do it!!
I have contacted the company in question and they are now trying to sort the mess out.
Very disappointing and poor service as well as very poor customer service - not in any way solution focussed.
