I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the recent service provided by your company concerning my order for a birthday cake. The cake was ordered from Sri Lanka to be delivered to my daughter in Canada, and the entire experience has been utterly disheartening.
Despite placing the order two days in advance to ensure a timely delivery for my daughter's special day, the cake arrived a full day late. This delay was unacceptable and significantly marred what was supposed to be a joyous occasion.
Moreover, I was appalled to learn that the cake was simply left outside my daughter's home. Given the time-sensitive nature of food deliveries and the perishable nature of the cake, this was an egregious oversight. As a result, the cake was not in a usable state when it was finally discovered, rendering it completely unusable for the celebration.
This level of service is not only disappointing but also entirely unacceptable. Such an experience is not what one would expect, especially considering the reputation of your company and the fact that this order was placed from abroad with the expectation of reliable service.
It is disappointing to note that no courtesy call or message was provided during the delay, especially considering this was meant to celebrate a special birthday occasion. I believe that in a country like Canada, this level of service is completely unacceptable and reflects a significant degree of negligence in your delivery process.
